Dear Anna and family,
  Michael and I were shocked and saddened when we got  the news about your dear mother. 
  Your beautiful mother and I have been friends for many years. I am a snow bird and I would look forward to coming to Florida to see her and catch up with everything. 
 We stayed in touch by  texting each other throughout the summer when I was back in Plattsburgh, N. Y.
