Born on January 20, 1938, in Philadelphia, Bobi grew up in Miami and attended Miami Senior High School. There, she showcased her musical talents by playing the clarinet in both the orchestra and marching band, as well as performing on the accordion and piano. Bobi also had a gift for design and craftsmanship, knitting, sewing, and creating clothing for family and friends.
In the 1970s, Bobi discovered a love for skiing during a trip to Colorado. Enchanted by Vail, she made it her permanent home in 1982. Vail remained a cherished place where Bobi hosted memorable ski trips and summer vacations for her children and grandchildren. A gracious hostess, Bobi passed down her love of cooking and entertaining to her grandchildren, who often sought advice from her in the kitchen.
Bobi’s passion for travel shaped much of her life. As a cruise travel agent, she built lasting relationships with clients who often became close friends. Bobi cruised extensively, spending months at sea exploring the world an experience that brought her immense joy.
Though health concerns eventually brought her back to Miami to be closer to family, Bobi’s heart remained in Vail.
Bobi is survived by her children Marc (Jaclyn) Salzman, Rick (Lori) Salzman, and MarlaPam Weitman; grandchildren Josh (Alli) Salzman, Nicole (Sam) Page, Sam (Lauren) Salzman, Scott Salzman, and Alexa (Brandon) Eshaghzadeh; six great-granddaughters Mia, Aliza, Sloane, Lily, Remy, and Blaire; sisters Maxine (Phil) Beale and Gayle (Ron) Bard; extended family Marsha Salzman and Marilyn Salzman; and many nieces and nephews.
May her memory bring comfort to those who knew her.
