Alvin Tyrone Keaton, affectionately remembered by family and friends, peacefully passed away on June 24, 2025, at the age of 70 in Miami, Florida. Born on March 4, 1955, in Miami, Alvin spent his life in the heart of the city he called home.
Alvin was a man of quiet strength and simplicity. Though he never entered the workforce, his life was filled with rich relationships, small joys, and deep passions—one of which was his lifelong admiration for Spider-Man. Alvin truly believed in the heart of the superhero's message: “With great power comes great responsibility.” He collected memorabilia, watched every film, and often wore his favorite Spider-Man shirt with pride. The character gave him hope and joy throughout his life, especially in challenging times.
He was educated through the eighth grade and lived at the Miami Jewish Health facility in his later years. Alvin was a proud resident of Miami-Dade County, where he was raised by his devoted parents, Thomas Keaton and Dorothy L. Gore. Though he never married, Alvin’s life was never short on love. His brother, Derrick Keaton, served as his steadfast companion and advocate.
Alvin’s spirit was gentle, his presence comforting, and his childlike wonder inspiring to all who knew him. He will be dearly missed and forever cherished by his family, especially his brother Derrick, and all those whose lives he touched.
May he rest in peace, swinging among the stars with his favorite hero.
