Carlotta (Anita) was a dear neighbor, who I continue to miss.  She always had a giving heart, and my family and I were grateful recipients of that affection.

I join my brother Sam in sharing belated condolences regarding Anita’s passing.  Anita was a very special friend to our mother, Lillian Harris, and caretaker to our grandfather, Jacob Fogler. I will always remember Anita’s warm smile and affectionate hugs and the special place in her heart that she shared with our entire family.  We are grateful for having the opportunity to know and love her. 

I am fairly certain that this Anita Samuels is the sweet friend of my mother, Lillian Harris of West Miami and Havana (and caretaker of my grandparents). I stumbled upon an article my mother  wrote about your mother probably in the 1980's.  I had saved/misplaced it because I had wanted to share it with my family as a memory of my mother who passed away about 4 years ago. I would like to share it with you.  Your mother's memory truly is a blessing to those she knew and helped.

Dear Anita's family, I extend my sincere sympathy and offer prayers.  Anita was such a lovely person and I enjoyed her company whenever I  was in Lake Park  visiting my sister Helen.   May she rest in the peace of the Lord and be in the palm of his hand,

To you,  Anita's precious daughters, I offer you my deepest sympathy.  Mingled with your loss will be the wonderful memories of a very special woman.  Simply put,  Anita was a wonderful, strong,  giving person, always ready to offer a helping hand to everyone.
Though we did not know each other, as long as others did, our friendship blossomed immediately.  I, like your other friends at Lake Park will miss the good times together, meals shared, planning holiday parties,  gardening, and all the things friends do together.  Your generosity and kindness toward Dino, my husband remains with me always.
Losing you leaves a hole in my heart, as it does in all who were fortunate to know you.  I will miss you Anita,my dear, dear friend.

Nuestra querida  Anita  descanse en Paz,  tenemos muy bellos recuerdos suyos y nos quedamos  con todos. El cariño que siempre  le dio a nuestros hijos Dana y Clifford y la amistad tan bella con mi padre Julio Palomo son inolvidables. Nuestro mas sentido pesame y resignacion a sus hijas,  nietos y demas familiares. Por siempre vivirá en nuestro corazones.....

Mi querida Anita, siempre estará en mi corazón. 
 Guardo tan lindos recuerdos... fue una amistad tan grande con MI madre Elvira y a través de ella aprendimos a quererla.

My dear Anita, there are no words to describe the pain I feel from the news that you have parted to be with the Lord and your beloved daughter.  You are and always will be a very important member of our family, a sister to my mom who also loves you very much. I will miss our phone conversations, where you would share stories that help me learn and understand a part of our family history. I will cherish those moments forever. You gave me comfort when I needed the most. You are that special kind of friend, one who took two buses to be by my mother's side in one of the toughest moments of our lives. It breaks my heart that due to circumstances beyond our control we were not able to be there with you. You always told me "Dont you worry  about me sweetheart, I am a though cookie" with that beautiful accent of yours. Dear Anita, I know your time on this earth has ended but your journey continues. May God gives your daughters the strength and comfort they need during these difficult times and may you rest in peace.

Mi querida Anita siempre la recordaremos  con mucho amor gracias!gracias ! por siempre estar pendiente de mi mamá Bertita su eterna amiga y compañera de basketball, usted fue una excelente amiga, y madre,  Dios la reciba en sus brazos para gozar de la presencia de el y sepa que nunca la vamos olvidar. Anita, May you Rest In Peace you beautiful lady!!. I will always remember you as one of my mother’s (Ana (Ofrinda) Hernandez)greatest friends and you two shared one special friendship. You pierced my ears, my little sister Luci’s ears and my oldest daughter Christina’s ears. I spoke with you April 2011 at my mother’s funeral. Thank you for sharing my mother’s thoughts about me and what she shared with you. It meant and still means the world to me. I will always remember you so elegant so beautiful and so wise. Earth may have lost the presence of one loving, caring,  wise, classy,  elegant, special lady but heaven gained one super special angel!!
