Gerard Rony Jean-Pierre

Gerard Rony Jean-Pierre was born in Cap Haitien, Haiti on October 30, 1952, to Ida Muscadin and Lauriston jean-Pierre, raised in a traditional catholic family .He is second of four children, He started his education, and he started his high school education at Frere Salesiens which he completed at Lindsey Hopkins.

Gerard Rony Jean-Pierre, affectionately also known as “Roro” was the patriarch of his family, although he was not the eldest. He was selfless, generous, caring and dedicated in his effort to his extended family and his friends. He was everyone rock; the person that always answered when you called no matter the time and place, Roro was there.

He was joined in marriage to Anne Jean-Pierre in 1981, with whom he has two beautiful children, Roselyn and Marvin Jean Pierre.

Roro worked as a landscaper at Stiles landscaping until 2000.He was an entrepreneur, a hard-worker, a loving father, husband and uncle. He made it a point of always being present at every important family gathering, such as birthdays, baptisms, first communions, graduations. Weddings, reunions, holiday celebrations and funerals.

He was one of the most engaged members at St. James Catholic Church; he never missed one occasion to show his support, he was there for every church activity. He was a liturgy member, a Eucharist minister , choir member, member of the charismatic group Communaute Nouvelle , he was part of the sick ministry , the group volontaire de Dieu, and the leader of the prayer group cellule Crainte de Dieu. He was a leader in that church and his presence will be greatly missed.

Roro succumbed to a long illness, surrounded, and comforted by his loving family. He is survived by a multitude of grieving family members, relatives and friends.

His memory will be cherished as:

Caring Uncle to: Michoue, Walky, Lanisha, Jodelete, Peterson, Basil, Esther, Feral, Summerlande. Samentha, Junior, Rocky

Cloudiy, Blunnie, Mickinson, Eugenlyn, Gerald, Belenda, Johann, Jamal, and Alexander;

The In-Laws: Franklin Eriveaux, Wesner Lorvinsky, jean-Pierre Chelsius, and Vollant Etienne.
