Lamarre Gracius

Lamarre Choute Gracius was born on September 25, 1928, in Trou du Nord, Haiti. Lamarre was the oldest of seven children born to parents, Edith Germaine and Alce Choute. His father, Alce, was a Farmer which sparked his love for farming and future career in agriculture.

At the age 17, Lamarre met the love of his life, his late wife Lizette Fils Aime. Together, Lamarre and Lizette’s union created four beautiful children: William, Ketty, David, and Gilene. At the age of 26, Lamarre migrated to The Bahamas to provide for his wife and children. Following the death of his wife, Lamarre moved back to Haiti to provide support for his children. Lamarre then met Palmina Constant who cared for him and together they conceived his fifth child, Myriamme. Lamarre eventually migrated to the United States of America and had to overcome the challenges as an immigrant who wanted to provide for his family and loved ones. In America, Lamarre continued his passion for agriculture. His love for driving and interacting with others led him to his final career as a Taxi Driver for customers and his beloved friends.

On November 14, 2023, the Lord called Lamarre home to be a part of his kingdom. Though the family must accept this new reality, they are in deep sorrow as our patriarch transcends to be with our Lord and savior. His family and loved ones will keep his memory in our hearts as a constant reminder of his laughter, witty jokes, ladies’ man appeal, and love for helping others.
