Mercedes will be missed. She was very smart, talented, beautiful, funny, caring and compassionate, among many other qualities she had.  Family was the most important thing to her. She loved you all. I'm so sorry.

First of all my condolences to the family. Mercedez was a very strong and independent woman, I admired that about her. She loved her granddaughter  Gabriela with all her heart and I will always appreciate the love she gave her. She was am amazing woman that I will never forget and I will never regret meeting, I was lucky to have met her.  

Mi querida cuñada (cómo siempre me decía) . Ahora está en un mejor lugar, dónde solo los buenos de corazón estarán.  Siempre la recordaré con mucho cariño, así con su sonrisa pícara, complice, dispuesta a dar todo lo que tenía de si, si era necesario.  Con su "te quiero" a flor de boca, haciéndote sentir amado y protegido.  A mis queridos sobrinos, que la vida me ofreció y a Santiago, esposo que la acompañó en esta vida,  a Eugenio, el hermanito amado como un hijo, a sus nietos, a los cuales amaba, a todos,  fuerza y resignación, con la esperanza de reencontrarnos algún día.

Dear Mercedes,
I remember when I was first introduced to you by Taita in Ybor city. You were pushing Gaby in a stroller. A few months later Taita and I started dating and I became part of the family. Deniella was born and you came to Palm Beach to be with Taita. After years of suffering, on June 1st 2020 God decided to end the suffering and brought with him in heaven. We will always love &miss you.

My deepest condolences to the family.  I remember the first time we met Taita's family.  It was December 31, 2003, New Year's Eve.  Mercedes and her family welcomed us with open arms that night.  I remember our conversations as she used to love talking about her younger years.  She had beautiful stories to tell.  I admired how she carried herself - always looking her best.
