Rita Pierre was born 33,442 days ago on Tuesday, November 24, 1931, in San Fernando, Trinidad and Tobago, a Dual-Island Caribbean Nation, in Southeastern West Indies.
She peacefully transitioned Wednesday, June 14, 2023 At Aventura Hospital, Aventura Florida.
She married her beloved husband, Leo Pierre, Jr, and remained married over 60 years, until he preceded her in death, July, 2018.
They retired from their jobs in New York City, over 38 years ago, relocating to Miami, Florida.
Rita was an active member of numerous community-based organizations, where she volunteered thousands of hours in service to others.
She is survived by Daughters Laverna Johnson (Pottsville, PA) and Lamarra Thompson (Camden, NJ) and many Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren, and Great, Great- Grandchildren.
Rita Pierre was Blessed as she lived an abundantly joyful life in service to humanity.
