I'm offering my condolences to you for the loss of my once upon a time shipmate Sherman Little, Sherman and I served aboard Coast Guard Cutter Morganthau back in the 80s, I'm from Detroit as was Sherman, so we had that in common, I often thought about Sherman over the years, I left the morgenthau in 1985, I ran across a picture of Sherman the other day and I decided to Google his name and that's when I learned of his passing, although we only spent about 2 years together on Coast Guard Cutter morganthal,Sherman left and indelible impression on me, he was really a good guy... I know he's been gone for more than 10 years but after finding out, I knew I had to reach out and offer my prayers and condolences to your family

So sorry to hear about your loss.  Please accept our sincerest condolences.  My husband, Dana Lee, and Sherman served in the Coast Guard together and we were lucky enough to have him as a groomsman in our wedding on November 4, 1995.  He was an amazing friend to us!!  Prayers to you and your family.

Even though it's been nearly 16 years since we went different directions, I never have forgotten your  Devotion to Duties, while we worked together in Philly.  We spent many a late night making sure the Base could continue its “Service to our Great Nation”.   Time and time again, we counted on you to get the job done right the first time, and you never let us down! 

It also has to be made mentioned your Devotion to your Family.  You were so proud of the kids and wife Vanessa and shared this love of his Family with us at work.  Dear Family, please know you made Sherman so very happy and he was content with the Love and Support you gave to him.  .  

As long as I live, I will always remember Sherman.  I am a better man because of this chance encounter to be around a great Shipmate!

I was stationed at the USCG Facilities Engineering Dept with Sherman.  We were electricians together there.  I was shocked to do a search and find that he had just passed.  What a loss of a wonderful human being and a terrific smile.  I did not know his family but would be happy to know them.  Please accept my condolences for your loss.

I went to grade school with Sherman. We lost contact after Jr. high.  I had heard he went into the military as did I. I was just viewing some pictures from the Jeffrey Projects, Belle Isles reunion and decided to Google Sherman, and I immediately found this site. I have missed you for all these years. RIP old friend.

Sherman and I crossed paths several times in our careers.  First in Alameda, CA and again in Miami.  I have the best of memories working with Sherm.  I've never met anyone with the upbeat, happy, polite, caring, personality.  Plus the most contagious laugh on earth.  I close my eyes and can hear his laugh.  He will be deeply missed and my thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones.  The world is a better place because of Sherman and I know he has a special place with our Lord. Rest in Peace my friend.

I had the honor of serving with Sherman in Alameda in the 80's then again in Miami 2002-2006. He was a fine shipmate and a wonderful kind and gentle man. My deepest sympathy to his family and friends.

I had the pleasure of being stationed with Sherman at Base Miami Beach from 2004 - 2006...Sherman's sweet disposition always spoke for itself...He was the comfort in the storm...I got to see the strength of this man when his wife was struck by lightning as a postal carrier and during her aftercare...This was a man who truly put his faith in God and that I got to witness as I inquired about Mrs Little's health many times over in the aftermath...Sherman always had a positive outlook on life...Sherman was one of the nicest people I ever met throughout my entire Coast Guard career...He will be sorely missed but the memories he left behind will always be overflowing...

Sherman always put a smile on my face when he would come over to the Gator Den after work and grab a drink with his shipmates.  He was a great Coast Guardsman and a very nice guy!!

Dear Vanessa, May God great love be your strength.  I am praying that God will uplift you and the family.  I also ask God to bless Sherman mother and family with the love of God that will help them through this time.  Ms. Little God blessed you with a great son who loved his family and serve the nation as well. It was a pleasure serving with Sherm. Glad to see he made CWO. I believe we served on the Vigorous together. He was a quiet, funny guy and knew what he was doing. Always ready to help.  My condolences to the family.  I'm sure he lived well.  He will be missed.

Met him while he was station with MC Buck Rodgers at Base Miami Beach, a true gentleman and dedicated Coastie (that why I like him), he will be missed by many. May his soul rest in peace.

I am truly sorry for the lost of this fine young man.  We met in 1980 in Elizabeth CIty NC.  We both were at Aviation Electrical school.  That smile and mustache was recognizable right away in all the pictures.  Rest on my brother.

I have known Sherman a long time and was station with him in Philadelphia and Baltimore. He was a true friend and a dedlicated Coast Guardman. I considered him one of my closest friends and will always remember his hearty laugh. Our military career enable us to cross path and begin a life long friendship. RIP my friend for God's knew your work on earth was completed and he was in need of your services in his divine kingdom.
