Spyridoula Kanelopoulos

Spyridoula Kanelopoulos (Kourtis), 90, of North Miami Beach, Florida, passed away on August 4, 2025 with her loving family by her side.

Spyridoula was born in Lefkada, Greece on November 16, 1934. She emigrated to Montreal, Canada in 1959 and met and married the love of her life. In 1982 they moved to South Florida in search of a warmer climate. She was a devoted wife, mother, Yia Yia and friend, known for her kindness, generosity and humor.

She is survived by her son, Dimitri, her daughter, Stavroula and the lights of her life, her grandsons, John Laskaratos, and Evan Kanellopoulos. She was predeceased by her husband Kanellos, her parents Nicholas and Stavroula, brother Anastasios and sisters Eleni, Akrivoula and Zoe.

A viewing will be held on Monday, August 11, 2025 at the Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation, 12250 NW 2 Avenue, North Miami, Florida 33168 at 9:00am followed by a funeral service at 10:00am.
