Jupiter – Anna Lee Culpepper passed away peacefully on Thursday January 15, 2026 at her home on the Loxahatchee River at the age of 92. Anna Lee was a fifth generation Floridian, born on June 21, 1933 in Sebring, Florida to parents Richard and Arlen Stalls. She spent her early years living in and around the rural agriculture areas of Florida.
In the late 1930’s Anna Lee moved with her family to the bustling city of West Palm Beach where she attended local schools, graduating from Palm Beach High School. She attended Rollins College but returned to the home of her parents in Jupiter to marry the love of her life, Robert F. (Bobby) Culpepper in October of 1952.
Mom and Dad enjoyed almost 72 years of marriage before Dad’s passing in August of 2024. Although Mom held a Real Estate license, her true devotion was that of being a great mother to her three children and supporter of Dad who was the mayor of Jupiter, Palm Beach County commissioner and businessman.
When Mom and Dad made their home in Jupiter they looked for opportunities to make it better and became active in local church and civic organizations. With Dad, Mom was involved in the growth and development of the Jupiter she loved. It brought her great pleasure knowing the role she played help to make Northern Palm Beach County the desirable place it is today.
As a young girl her parents took she and her sister (June) on a cross country journey throughout the continental United States. Mom continued to recall many stories from that trip which brought back fond memories. One of those memories was of she and her family sitting on a bench in Yellowstone National Park in the 1930’s and watching “Old Faithful” come to life. It was just her family and a lone park ranger in that beautiful setting. From her home on the Loxahatchee River she watched Jupiter grow from a community of 314 people in 1950, to an estimated 63,000 today. To say she experienced a lot of change in her 92 years would be an understatement!
Mom lived a long and rich life surrounded by people who loved and cared for her. She leaves behind her loving family including sons, J. Michael (Rachelle), John R. (Pamela), and daughter Jennifer Lauri, as well as cousins, nieces, nephews and many other friends.
The family suggests donations in Anna Lee’s memory to support the charitable organization of your choice. Mom always leaned toward non-profits which benefited children, animals and the natural environment.
