Age 77, of Palm Beach Gardens, formally of Baldwin NY, died on May 24, 2013. Charles was born on January 23, 1936 in New York, NY to parents Charles and Wanda Methe.
He attended the University of Bridgeport on a full Basketball Scholarship and graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work. Charles proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He was the Superintendent of the Palm Beach County Juvenile Detention Center during the 1970’s.
Charles is survived by Barbara McDevitt Methe, his childhood sweetheart and wife of fifty five years; children, Daniel(Anne) Methe, Maureen Methe West; grandchildren Stephen and Bradley Methe.
Friends may visit the family at the Howard Price Funeral Home, 754 US Hwy. 1, North Palm Beach, FL 33408 on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 from 3:00pm to 6:00pm.
A private burial will take place at Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery, Royal Palm Beach, FL.
