

her home with her loved ones by her side. Diane was born April 8th 1929 in Brooklyn, NY
to Mary and Nicolo Alagna. She married her childhood sweetheart Michael Fischetti in
1947. They both continued to live in Brooklyn, had two children there, until moving to
New Jersey in 1953. Diane was the mother of 7 children, grandmother to 12
grandchildren and great grandmother to 6 great grand children.
Diane loved her family and was always willing to do anything for them. She was a stayat-
home mom who made a nurturing and creative environment for her children to
grow, always encouraging any endeavors they wanted to pursue. She was an excellent
cook and there were always delicious home cooked family meals together.
She had an amazing gift for design, and with this talent created many beautiful homes
and exquisite gardens both in New Jersey and in Florida. She had a passion for antiques
and was an avid collector. She had two antique shops; one in Saddle River, N.J. and later
another in West Palm Beach, Fl. Diane always enjoyed entertaining and was a generous
hostess to many intimate and extravagant parties for her family and friends. She and her
husband loved to travel with their close friends and would enjoy retelling the stories of
their many adventures.
Diane had a full life, and in her later years she found most of her pleasure in seeing and
hearing stories of the accomplishments of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Her family always came first, and she made sure they were all surrounded by love and
beauty.
Diane will be missed by her 7 children, Marianna Fischetti, 73, Michael Fischetti, Jr. 72,
Thomas Fischetti, 67, Victor Fischetti, 66, Lisa Fischetti, 65, Frank Fischetti, 63, and
Nicholas Fischetti 59. Her 12 grandchildren Gia Sweeney, Gino Cicerchia, Chanel
Fischetti, Michael Fischetti III, Montague Fischetti, Remington Fischetti, Victor Fischetti,
Jr., Sigmund Lerner, Esther Lerner, Alexander Fischetti, Adam Fischetti, and Olivia
Fischetti, and her 6 great grandchildren, Sophia, Seneca and Micah Cicerchia, Michael
Sweeney, Luke and Joseph Fischetti, and her many nieces and nephews. She is
preceded in death by her husband Michael Fischetti, 69, her two brothers Tony, 85 and
Bobby Alagna, 79 and her parents.

A Graveside Memorial is scheduled on December 11th at 11:00 am, at the George
Washington Cemetery in Paramus, N.J. A luncheon will follow at Mezza Notte
Restaurant, 6-11 Saddle River Road, Fair Lawn, N.J.
