Gilbert Louis Burgan

At Age 98, Gilbert Burgan of North Palm Beach, Florida passed away peacefully 5:30AM on February 23, 2015. Gilbert was born in Baltimore Maryland to Meyer and Yetta Davidson Burgan on Jan 8, 1917. He attended Baltimore City College and Baltimore Polytechnic Institute and enjoyed a long career in the aircraft industry at companies including Glen L Martin, Grand Central Aircraft, and Pratt & Whitney. Gilbert married Esther Highberger at St. Ann's Church on October 25, 1958, in West Palm Beach, FL. He was an active member of St. Clare's Catholic Church in North Palm Beach, since its beginning.

He is preceded in death by his wife Esther, his parents, and his brother Harold. Left to cherish his memory are his son John, his sister Anna Bulmash, nieces and nephews: Gail Rosen, Barbara Garrett, Mayer Burgan, Michael Bulmash, Judy Siegel, Greg Highberger, Doug Highberger, Lori Giunta, Dennis Highberger, Karen True, Eileen Melichar; and many family members and friends.

Visitation will be on Friday 2/27/2015 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Howard-Quattlebaum Funeral Home at 754 US1 in North Palm Beach. Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Saturday 2/28/2015 at St. Clare's Catholic Church, 821 Prosperity Farms Road, North Palm Beach, at 9:30AM with Father William O'Shea officiating. Interment will follow at Riverside Memorial Park, Tequesta, Florida.
