Joe S. Mock 89 years old of Palm Beach Gardens, Fl passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, October 19, 2010. Born in Venus, Fl in 1921 he spent his early years in Blakely and Albany GA. He joined the US Marine Corp 4th Div and fought in the Pacific during WWII at Iwo Jima, Saipan, Roi-Namur and Tinian. After his service in the Marine Corp he returned to Albany GA and married Irene Bowen. He started a family, started a business as a locksmith and gunsmith. In 1956 he began his career with Sears, Roebuck and Co. in West Palm Beach, FL. He retired from Sears as a Service Supervisor after 26 years. Joe and Irene enjoyed traveling, camping, fishing and hunting. He was preceded in death by his wife Irene and his sisters Florie Nix and Mamie Richardson.
He is survived by his sons, Joe Michael Mock and his wife Paula, David Mock and his wife Kathy; grandchildren, Rebecca, John and Kelly.
