I was so very saddened to hear of your loss. I feel so blessed to have met Allan and to have become friends with you both and Cora too. Especially on the Alaska cruise last September, sharing lots of fun and laughs with our beautiful dinners together. Much love to you Birgit during this very difficult time. 💕. The world has lost another kind and gentle soul.  My dad's baby brother - my uncle Allan, who was 12 when I was born, was the bravest and strongest man I know. He went through a lot in his life but he still always had a smile.  I remember being little and he put up with my sister and I using him as a trampoline, put curlers in his hair (he joked its why he has no hair!). He was always there for me when I needed him.  Whenever I see the peanuts gang - especially Snoopy - I think of him. He is why I love Snoopy so much. The original Snoopy Lover - even having a dog named Snoopy.  He loved his family so deeply. I am so glad I got to spend time with him, and I can still feel his hand in mine. He is acutely missed by everyone who knew him - gone far too soon.  All my love to Birgit, Eric, Alex, Ericha and Jason and love to his brothers, my Uncle Len, and my dad, Robert.  Rest in Peace Uncle Allan. I Love You.    Lori

Allan was for real in everything that he did, and touched. He is an inspiration.

Birgit, my sincere condolences. I know that you lost a very special person in Allan. There is little comfort in words but my thoughts are with you.

Al was a loving brother a good friend who was loved by all, especially his family and friends He will be greatly missed and remembered with fondness and love.

In our last conversation, Allan told me to remember the good times we had, and so I am. I remember walks to school, and walking his pup, sneaking his Peanuts collection, and playing Backgammon, a game I love because he taught me so well; and so many Xmases and birthdays. My 14th birthday, he brought me A Taste of Honey album and danced, trying to cheer me at a sad time. I will always remember best how he tried.  

Rest now, Uncle, and thank you for the good memories.
