Angelo Filippo Toselli, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2024, with his loving wife by his side. Born in Turin, Italy, Angelo's early passions for piano, travel, language, and cars shaped his vibrant personality.
At 20, he emigrated to Canada, where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from York University. He went on to become a Chartered Accountant and earned an MBA, excelling as a highly respected tax professional recognized for his sharp mind and unwavering dedication. As a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers, serving as the Leader of the PwC National Energy Tax Practice, Angelo's expertise and leadership made a profound and lasting impact on his colleagues and clients alike.
It was in Vancouver that Angelo met the love of his life, Melissa, and together they built a beautiful family with three children. A devoted family man, his life was filled with love, faith, and adventure. Fluent in seven languages, Angelo's love for culture and discovery took him across all seven continents, enriching his life with unforgettable experiences and global friendships. His career took him to Calgary before he and his wife resettled in Vancouver during his retirement.
A devout Catholic, Angelo's faith guided his life. He found joy in Mass, playing piano, and serving his community. Despite his early-onset Parkinson’s, his optimism never wavered, and he refused to let the disease define him. In retirement, he cherished time with his family, his grandchildren, and his music, leaving a lasting legacy of love, perseverance, and faith in God.
Angelo is survived by his beloved wife, Melissa Toselli, his three children—Dominic Toselli (Monica Toselli), Chiara Toselli (Jarred Thomas), and Francis Toselli—and his two grandchildren, Lucia Toselli and Ariana Toselli. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his spirit will live on in the lives he touched.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Covenant House, 1280 Seymour St, Vancouver, BC V6B 3N9.
May Angelo rest in eternal peace, forever in the embrace of God.
