The love of my life Arne passed away December 24, 2014 after a courageous battle with cancer. Arne was born in Denmark and came to Canada in 1956 at the age of 20, where he began a long career as a carpenter. Many years were spent at Grouse Mountain. Here he met lifelong friends, but most importantly he met and fell in love with his wife Olive; they married in August 1958 and spent the next 56 wonderful years together. They raised their family in North Vancouver in the Lynn Valley area. But spent many years at Lake Tyee in Washington, where they had many enjoyable weekends together with friends and family. Retirement in 2002 from VGH let him spend time pursuing passions like working in his garden, time traveling but most importantly spending time with his wife.
Arne was an amazing husband, dad, granddad and friend. He will be forever loved and missed by his wife Olive, sons Steven (Susan), Wayne (Barb), daughter Julie (Al), 7 grandchildren, and Sister Liz. By request Arne was cremated and his ashes will be scattered. A celebration will be held later.
