Doug passed away at Lions Gate Hospital after a short battle with cancer with his wife and children at his side. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 50 years, Fran, son Mike (Mandi) and granddaughters Nola and Abby, daughter Jen and grandsons Miles and Ramsey and son Jeff, as well as his sister Lorrie (Pat), brother Ken, and many nieces and nephews, cousins, friends and colleagues. He was predeceased by his brother Donnie in 1956.
Doug spent the majority of his life living and hiking on the North Shore. He loved travelling with Fran and sharing many fond memories and photos with family and friends.
A private family gathering will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to BC Cancer Foundation or BC Alzheimer Society in Doug's name would be much appreciated.
