Hi Sarah,
                    We have never met but my spouse, Alan Rimmer, who knew and worked with your father for a few years, back in Waterloo Ontario area, has kept corresponding and we did visit Forbes a few occasions as we travelled out west to also visit friends and Alan's sons Tom and Jeremy. This morning, I read what seems to me the last emails ( August 17, 2017) between your dad and Alan. Here are a few sentences that reveals the talent and the pleasure that many people acknowledged in listening to your dad playing the violin:" I will receive a new knee for my birthday, yay! Also, in September, I will perform Misty and Love lift me up, Where we belong or whatever; I am Mister Cool around here. The old folks go nuts when I do things like that."

On one email that Alan Rimmer to Forbes, he wrote "You're a good friend, Forbes!" Alan tried to get in contact with you, Sarah, since he stopped receiving emails from your dad. Alan would have taken the initiative to offer you his condolences, but I am doing it on his behalf, since Alan also passed away three years ago, April 17, 2019.

Sarah, your father and I were neighbours and best friends from the time we were 10.  My youngest child was named after him.  I knew every member of his immediate family very well.
I have been trying to find him for a couple of years.  I am glad to know he is finally at peace.
