Ingrid Rogers at the age of 83 passed away suddenly at Lion’s Gate Hospital on Sunday August 6. Ingrid is pre deceased by her husband Mitch Rogers of forty-one years and her daughter Sandra Hanek. She is survived by her son Ken, his wife Michelle, their two children, son in law Rob, his four children, her brother Ted, his two children and grandchildren, as well as her extended relatives in Germany.
Ingrid set out from Europe in the 1950s on her trip to see the world. When first arriving in Canada as a teenager, Ingrid met Mitch on an elevator and a few months after her 20th birthday they married. Ingrid’s wanderlust aspired them to travel the world for their years together. Mitch worked for IBM which led them on many adventures with relocations every few years including Prince Rupert, Toronto and Vancouver. In 1979 they laid final roots in Lynn Valley with both their children attending Argyle Secondary. Ingrid flourished while living in multi cultural Vancouver forming friend groups of various ethnicities.
