Mary (Mum, Nana, GG) at the remarkable age of 97 has passed away. She was so treasured by her family, her son Mark (Cathy) daughter Jennifer (Bob) grandchildren Kate (Chris) Taylor (Ethan) and Sean, along with great granddaughters Lennon, Fern, Bobbi and Lily. Her beloved Chuck will be meeting her on the other side with a bottle of Channel No. 5 and the best, tight hug. She was the last of her generation, pre deceased by her siblings Pere, Ivan and Celia, beating the family age record of 94 with room to spare. In her last years she would often reminisce about her life growing up in New Zealand, her parents fish shop and being part of the Croatian community there. She met Chuck on the Vancouver stop of a world tour with brother Ivan. She and Chuck raised their family amongst what would become lifelong friends from every part of the globe. She was a fantastic daughter in law, an accomplished seamstress and an adventurous cook. She and Chuck started running at the age of 40 and ran 6 marathons together. They biked, hiked, traveled and loved each other so much. We are comforted knowing they are together again. A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
