Whether it was on the ball field,road trips with the oldies on 

Pit stops to Merrit Hot Dog Stand,

Red Rooftop,

Rips Diner or 80s 

Going to old Pemberton to do Homework when you worked on weekends 

Holidays to Sasamat or Shuswap Lakes 

Or the ball game with your workmates 

You were a Hard working loving Father who Did His best 

Generous Jim

Have lost touch with Jim since UBC days, but have many fond memories of our good times then.
Could not attend the service earlier today; had hoped to attend, but my wife was ill, so I had to miss the service.

Jim Dodd was a great person, he always gave of himself to help others.  As a Rotarian he always did his part for the betterment of humanity.  We have lost a great friend and very social person.  We will miss him.

I would like to send mine and my wife's deepest condolences to the family of Jim Dodd.  I considered Jim as one of my closest friends and comrades at Rotary International.  We looked after selected projects and always had fun doing it.  Jim would always have a joke or funny story to tell and his laugh was very infectious.  Jim was always ready to help others and  " No I can't" was not in his vocabulary.  Jim by his actions and words left us a better world to live in.  Barb and I have lost a great friend, but we have wonderful memories  to treasure. 

We send everyone in Jim's family and friendship circle our deepest condolences.
 We were privileged to know Jim a good forty years ago. One of our unforgettable memories is of Jim at a soccer parents' dinner making a toast or a prayer at the beginning of the meal. He wore his napkin loosely over his head. Within seconds all the men followed suit and it became a custom for Father Fagan to say the grace at every social occasion. 
Jim was a kind man of integrity who saw the good in everybody, who believed in being a nice person because he expected no less of himself. We shall miss his smile, his hearty laugh and his Father Fagan graces.

Having worked with Jim more for more than 25 years, I have a greater appreciation for the word "gentleman".  Jim embodied an even temperament, social grace, collegial repartee, and respect for the feelings of others.  He was dedicated to  community service, and his attendance at Rotary Club meetings were the highest priority of his day. He was one of my closest friends at the office, and we shared many laughs, sorrows and opinions over the course of our careers. 
The world is a lesser, but better place because of "Jimmy Dodd", aka "Fagan". It was an honor to know him and to consider him a very good friend and lovely man.
