It is with overwhelming sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Jayne, eldest daughter of Franklin and Mae Metcalf on July 13, 2017 in Vancouver at the age of 65. She is survived by her mother Mae, sisters Marilyn (Bruce Joiner), and Frances (Hans Hart), niece Charla Joiner, nephew Devon Joiner (Scott Shaffer), former spouse Peter Hilton, and son David Hilton. She was predeceased by her father Franklin in 2012. Jayne spent 28 years working with the North Vancouver District Fire Department first as dispatcher then as a Lieutenant. When she wasn't at her beloved Yaletown condo she was enjoying her passion of travelling to all corners of the world. She was also a lover of art, jazz, hiking, travel writing, and studying Spanish. A Memorial Service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Boal Memorial Chapel, 1505 Lillooet Road, North Vancouver.
