Born October 8th 1973, Jess grew up overlooking the ocean in White Rock. Jessica had wanderlust and her dreams were filled with traveling the world. Her adventures led her to countless places like Germany, Fiji, Australia, New Zealand, Vegas, Mexico and Cuba.
When it was time to plant roots, Jessica worked for ICBC as a Claims Adjuster. Although she stayed for many years, Jess invented the term ‘Side Hustle’ and always had the coolest side jobs like riding her bike around promoting radio stations or working fancy events at the Delta.
The youngest of the three Storojeff girls, Jess was passionate about her friends and made sure she had time for them. There was one friend though that was inseparable from Jess, Kari. Jess and Kari became best friends during high school and remained inseparable, eventually living a stone's throw from one another.
Following her stroke in 2020, her sisters Tania and Andrea, along with Kari worked tirelessly with the care team and aphasia group to keep Jess topped up with love and engaged in the world. Recently, her confidence returned and she took up the challenge of getting to her own appointments by regular transit (refusing Handy Dart, she could manage).
On October 21st, 2022, Jessica’s adventures came to a sudden close at the young age of 49. Jessica is predeceased by her mother Christel and survived by her loving father Nick, sisters Tania (Peter), Andrea (Sean). Nieces and nephews Ryan, Connor, Olivia, Kate, Maggie and her cat Lucy.
‘Fun Factory’ (Kari) and ‘Party Machine’ (Jess) stories will be shared along with yours during a ‘celebration of life’, to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you please consider donating to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the BC SPCA.
