Boys - you probably have never heard of me, and Linda you probably hardly remember me.
I am writing to let you know that your dad/husband had a very BIG impact on me. In fact, John, who was a great friend of my dad's, gave me my very first real job, and kept employing me every summer until I got my honors degree in geology. He was a great guy and fantastic boss. He was always respectful, helpful and funny, always with a real wit and quick smile. Most telling for me was how he handled the news that I had crashed his precious Cordilleran truck. He took it like a man with a wry smile and surprisingly, words of encouragement.
"Big John" will be missed and never forgotten.
