Wonderful memories of Joyce are shared by her loving family, including her daughter Beverly, son Stanley, son-in-law Glenn and daughter-in-law Patricia, grandchildren Laura, Adam and Jennifer, and great-grandchildren Samuel and James; and by her sister-in-law Dorothy and brother-in-law Walter and their extended families.
Joyce was pre-deceased by her twin sister Jean and her older brother Joe; and by her dear companion in later years, Harry Muncaster.
A love of sports propelled Joyce through life, with significant achievements in Curling and Lawn Bowling among her many other activities and interests. Friends will remember that Joyce was on the team that won the Lawn Bowling championship in the 1988 B.C. Summer Games.
Joyce’s love of music was expressed most ardently in her expertise with the harmonica, and shared with many others through her long-standing leadership of the Harmonicats. Joyce’s high spirits made her a joy to be with for her many dear friends, and she loved their company. Joyce particularly enjoyed her activities and many friends at Silver Harbour and the Braithwaite Centre.
With deepest appreciation for the loving care afforded her by the people at the Lynn Valley Care Centre, who made Joyce’s last years richly enjoyable.
