Klaus was born in Insterburg, East Prussia on December 11, 1937. He later resided in Konigsberg, then Stuttgart, Germany.
At age 19, Klaus moved to Winnipeg, MB where he met and married Alvina Reimer, had two children and opened a camera store, Kerwin Photo.
In 1970, Klaus relocated to Vancouver, BC and established his sales agency, Kerwin Sales Ltd. In 1989 his son, Eric joined the agency – which Eric still operates today.
Klaus’ greatest joys included quality time spent with his family, his Whistler house, skiing on sunny days, racquetball, backgammon, travelling and driving the “Squamish Highway”listening to the Eagles Greatest Hits and Willie Nelson.
Klaus is pre-deceased by his parents, brother Wolfgang Walter and former wife, Alvina Kerwin.
Klaus is survived by daughter Linda McKernan (Tim), son Eric Kerwin (Oonagh), grandchildren Lucas and Kristina Kerwin, sister Gisela Boehnke, cousin Klaus Riemann (Karin), nieces, nephews and many wonderful friends.
