It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our dad, brother, and Papa, Les Penner. Les was a family man who gave his kids an appreciation for learning and knowledge from reading, as well as an awesome sense of humour. Dad usually knew the answer and he could always impress us when we watched Jeopardy together. Even though dad worked graveyard most of our childhood, he coached our sports and drove us to practices. He was a wonderful cook and a patient teacher. Him and mom loved to go golfing and they spent their "empty nester" time at Kinkora. If there were golf balls in the blackberries...he was up for the challenge.
He leaves behind his daughters, Lisa (Mike) Schierling, Colleen Penner, his son, Brent (Brooke) Penner, sisters, Rene Mair and Colleen Kelly, grandchildren, Garth Upton, Catherine (Zachary) Monteith, Carlie Frank, Layla Penner, Elizabeth Schierling and Blaire Penner. He was predeceased by his parents, John Penner and Elsie Penner, his wife and love of his life for over 40 years, Margaret Penner and sister, Kathleen Jashinski. We will miss you Papa!
