Peg was quite a lady!! She and Roy were a huge part of the Wakely" tribe" from very early years of our childhood right to now. Peg had a memory like a steel trap, and could remember more things about all the Wakely comings and goings, who was who, than anyone else! Peg had a beautiful tinkling laugh, which she shared a lot, along with her great sense of humour, and optimism. She was very loving, concerned, thoughtful and caring for others. I will miss her very very much.  "And until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of his hand".

Peg became a member of the WaKely Family before I was born 75 years ago.  She was my father's first secretary when he established his own insurance business in the early 40's, and her role in his office and in our family grew exponentially from that time.  Peg kept track of all the Wakely Insurance "high points", and she never missed any of our birthday or anniversaries -- she seemed to be an encyclopedia of those keepsake facts.  Since my mom died in 1992, Peg seemed almost like my/our surrogate mother -- she praised our accomplishments and worried about our set-backs.  I will also miss her forwarded emails -- she shared lots of chuckles and beautiful sights.  It's difficult to believe we've lost direct contact with someone so special.  Here is the most recent picture I have of Peggy -- taken this spring when she and Roy celebrated their 60th anniversary.
