

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Margery Doreen Sullivan. Doreen passed away peacefully on June 30th at North Shore Hospice at the age of 99. Her Son and Daughter In Law were with her during her final hours. Loving wife and mother, she was predeceased by her husband John Patrick Sullivan and is survived by her son Glenn Patrick Sullivan.
Doreen was born on May 21st, 1927, to Elsie and Fred Mosley in Winnipeg Manitoba. She attended Queenston Elementary, Robert H. Smith and Kelvin High Schools. Doreen then attended the University of Manitoba where she was a member of the Alpha Delta Phi sorority. Doreen was also elected to the Science Counsel. After she graduated from the University of Manitoba, with a Bachelor of Arts, she attended McGill University. There she received her Library Degreen. Upon completing her education, she moved to Vancouver where she became head of the Science Department at the Vancouver Public Library. Doreen finished her career as head of the Reference Department at the West Vancouver Library.
Doreen lived a long and full life having just celebrated her 99th birthday. She was well respected in the community and a loyal friend and to many. Doreen was generous and believed in charity and she lived her live with quite strength and grace. Thank you to the wonderfully staff at Hollyburn House for their excellent care of Doreen in her final years. She was loved and will be dearly missed. The family will celebrate her life privately.
