MELO-Maria Luisa, passed away peacefully in Vancouver on Dec. 31, 2023 surrounded by her loving family at the age of 88 years. She will be sadly missed by her sons Jose (Filomena), Carlos (Lucia) and Ricardo (Lina), seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren as well as two sisters. Maria was predeceased by her loving husband Fernando in 1992. Prayers will be held on Monday, Jan. 8, 2024 at 7:00pm at Our Lady of Fatima Portuguese Catholic Church, 1423 East 13 Ave. Vancouver where a Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2024 at 11:00am. Interment will follow at Ocean View Cemetery, Burnaby. A reception will be held in the church hall following the interment. If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice
