Martina (Tina) Morelli, 81, of North Vancouver, BC, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2026. She is survived by her husband, Nicholas Morelli, her children, Nicole Connelly (James Paradis) and Marco Morelli (Mary Hanlon), her four beloved grandchildren Ryder, Stella, Tommy, and Matty, her brother and his wife, Armin and Marianne Decaron, and their daughter Doreen.
Born in Austria to German parents on November 29, 1944, Tina immigrated with her family from Germany to Vancouver, Canada. She grew up in East Vancouver and attended Vancouver Technical Secondary School before marrying and settling in North Vancouver.
Tina was a beautiful and hard-working woman, who carved out a long and fulfilling career for herself at BC Hydro. In her retirement, Tina loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren, and a large number of dear friends. She also enjoyed tending to her backyard garden and walking her dogs, Scooby and Truffles. Tina met many wonderful friends while exploring local trails and left a lasting impression on anyone she encountered along the way.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the Boal Chapel and Memorial Gardens in North Vancouver. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Lions Gate Hospital Foundation’s Hospice & Palliative Care Project.
