Olive passed away peacefully on December 6, 2022, at the age of 97. The eldest of three sisters, Olive was born in Calcutta, India, on October 3, 1925, where she met her beloved late husband Henry Hardy. They were married in 1946 in Leeds, England and moved to Burnaby, BC, in 1947.
Olive spent the rest of her life in Burnaby, raising her sons and living life to the fullest. A keen traveller, she also loved boating, RVing, gardening, and spending time with her family and dearest friends.
Olive was predeceased by Henry, and is survived by her sister, Jeanette, her four sons, Gordon, Steven, Neil (Sheila), Ian (Melanie), seven grandchildren, Devon, Melissa (Tyler), Meghan (Matt), Derek, Trevor, Taylor and Matthew, four great-grandchildren, Scarlett, Sutton, Chloe, and Sloane, and many other family and friends.
The family is grateful for the loving care provided by the caregivers at Chartwell Carlton Care Residence, Burnaby, during Olive’s final years.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the New Year.
