April 18, 1935 – August 23, 2016
Rosemary passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side, after a courageous battle with cancer. Predeceased by her husband Stephen of 43 years in 2001. She will be greatly missed by her loving children Susan and Jim, four grandchildren Riley, Jessica (Quintin), Erik (Taresse) and Stephen, special cousin Sharon (Neil), and family and good friends too many to list.
She will always be remembered by her kindness and willing ness to help others, her sense of humor and her love of gardening.
Rosemary was a member of the Lynn Valley United Church and had a great community of friends. She was an advocate for the homeless with such compassion, by being involved making sandwiches that the church provided to them. In 2012 Rosemary was awarded the first Lynn Valley Good Neighbor of the Year award.
Thank you to Dr. D. Miller, Dr. Bazilli, and the North Shore Health Care Workers for all their care and dedication. Special thanks to Minister Blair Odney and to friends for all the love and support given to Rosemary and her family.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday September 24th, 2016 at 2pm at First Memorial Boal Chapel 1505 Lillooet Road North Vancouver. In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to the Lynn Valley United Church or SPCA or an organization of your choice.
