We are broken hearted to learn of Sharon's passing.  I have known Sharon since we were children.  Even then, I admired her creativity and artistic ability.  During the time we spent as adults, the endearing qualities that I had treasured during our childhood were still very evident.  We would meet at our little tea shop and talk about anything and everything. 
 I can't express my sorrow of losing a dear friend who has left us far too soon. I will miss her terribly.  
My deepest sympathies and condolences go out to her loving family.  We pray for your strength, comfort and peace during your unimaginable loss.

I am heartbroken for Sharon’s family. I met Her daughter Sophie when I was in grade 9. A year later  Sophie knew I needed a place to stay as I was in Vancouver in ballet training and my host family had moved. Sharon offered me a home as my own family lived in Chilliwack. I stayed with Sophie, Sharon and Mario for at least 4 years. I was treated right away as part of their family. I remember so many nights watching classic T.V. like “Moonlighting” while eating yummy desserts and having “girl time” with Sophie and Sharon. I have so many memories of spending time with the Jerkovic family. Sophie , Sharon and I had some time away for weekends out of town, where we shopped, ate, laughed and forgot about real life for a while . I am truly grateful to them for giving me such a loving home . I will miss Sharon, who was always young at heart . I admired her incredible creativity and zest for life . She was such a hard worker who wanted to give every opportunity to Sophie. It was a privilege to have Sharon take care of me and become my friend. Sending loving thoughts .. 

I am so very sorry to learn that Sharon has passed away.  She was such an outgoing and positive person who always looked on the bright side of life - I cannot recall her ever being downcast.  It is a real tragedy that she has left us at such a young age.

We first met as children in December 1958 when she and I, together with Uncle John, Aunt Florence and my mother Elizabeth, went by train up north to visit elderly Langstaff relatives on their remote and snowy farm.  The return train did not show up so Sharon and I spent the night on the floor of Cousin George's log cabin.  I remember we didn't get much sleep...

Since then we have met many times, both in England and during my visits to Vancouver.  Sharon was always kind and welcoming to me, and we shared trips to restaurants, the cinema and, on my last visit, to Cirque du Soleil.  There were also family celebrations at her lovely home, which were often held in the garden.

She was from a very young age passionately creative in many different ways, from designing and making clothes for herself and others to her more recent discovery of Zentangle.

I will miss her vivacity and enthusiasm for life, as well as her friendship.  Dominic and Josephine join me in sending much love and sympathy to Jeff, Sophie, Sienna, Mario, Tony and Kamile.

My heart is so sadden by the loss of Sharon.  We met at the June 2018 Zentangle Certified Teachers Training. Sharon was such an inspiration to me at the workshop, kind hearted and lots of fun. We were part of a small group of ladies all on our own , but instantly became such good friends. June Bailey, Deborah King, Sharon and myself shared many meals, great conversations and lots of laughs. Sharon’s tangling was sooo awesome. She was a gifted lady. We were hoping to have a reunion someday at the Zen Again we talked about it. So, I know Sharon is watching over us from heaven and saying tangle on ladies I’m with you in spirit. Hugs and prayers to her family. 

I had the wonderful privilege of spending lots of time with Sharon at our CZT Seminar in 2018.  She was a ray of light, full of positivity, fun and enthusiasm.  I loved our chats and she was very easy (and engaging) company.  A vibrant, imaginative, creative lady with lots of warmth and a young spirit.  We kept in touch after going home and I will miss her very much.  R.I.P. Sharon xx

I first met Sharon at the Certified Zentangle Teacher training.  She was easy to talk to and a great listener.  She was always up for challenges in our CZT 31 FB group.  Here is a piece of her work..

I was very sad to hear of Sharon's passing, and at such a relatively young age. Sharon had such a bubbly and enthusiastic personality, and she was always so kind and welcoming to me on my visits to Vancouver. She would pick me up and take me for coffee and shopping, and we would catch up on all our news. I shall treasure the Zentangle artwork she gave me on my visit last year.

Saddened to learn of Sharon's passing,she was special in so many ways. Her patience and kindness to all and her artistic gifts will be missed,  I was fortunate to know her when Jeff married my daughter,Lydia in 1992. She brought her design talents to the occasion by creating the entire wedding ensemble!  Sophie will recall the time and her mother's perfection in taking on the task with love and joy.  Please accept my condolences as you carry on without her.

Sharon and I met in elementary school and  graduated together in 1965. Sharon was bright, energetic, funny, smart and full of ideas. She was someone you couldn't forget! I married and moved to Ontario, Sharon stayed here. After 40 years, I moved back to my home town and Sharon was one of the first people with whom I wanted to reconnect. We visited each other's homes.  We went to galleries, live theatre, coffee shops and for an occasional long walk. I enjoyed her artistry, her ideas, her candor, her humour and her constant optimism. It was hard to see her become so ill, so frail and to eventually disappear. We had 5 years to catch up and enjoy each other's company.  I will miss her very much. Sharon was a lovely lady, who I had the pleasure to know working at ICBC.  She always had such a wonderful smile and brought laughter and sunshine to my day.  She was also my Avon lady, along with many of us at work.  I looked forward to her visits when she delivered the next Avon booklet.  
I was also fortunate to receive one of her Zentangle drawings, which she shared with a group of us at a lunch.  She told me about how she learned to make them and how much she enjoyed it. 
Sharon - you will be sorely missed as you are taken from us and your family too soon. May you rest in peace.

Sharon was a giving person; of her time, talent, knowledge and friendship. When I started my career at ICBC, I was seated very close to Sharon. She took a special interest in helping me as I was learning the ropes. We developed a friendship at work which moved into our personal lives. I was one of those friends who Sharon bestowed her talents upon. She made the dresses for my entire wedding party and for my flower girls, a total of 8 dresses in all. She was meticulous as she took great pride in her creative works and made to measure gowns. She also surprised me by making another beautiful piece, a baptismal gown for my first born. This has become an heirloom piece for my family and a reminder of her kindness. I miss her and I pray for those she has left behind. I'm sure their world will have a lot less vibrancy as a result. My condolences to her family whom she loved dearly. May she rest in peace.
