Thelma Lilian Evelyn Hatfull died on April 28, 2018 in her 93rd year. She was born in Cayer, Manitoba and came to Vancouver in 1943 at the tender age of 17. She loved the city and was its most ardent, if unofficial, ambassador.
She was predeceased by her husband Douglas Hatfull (by 41 years and one day), her mother Eva Cayer, father Arthur Hammerquist, brother Gerry, and sisters Yvone and Lorraine.
She is survived by her daughter Christine, sons Kel and Rod, grandchildren Camilla, Cameron and Trevor and older brother Leonard.
She loved meeting people from around the world, especially when she was no longer able to travel abroad, and could be found on her little red scooter Lady Bug, at Lonsdale Quay, chatting with tourists. Her loved ones were able to spend time with her before her peaceful passing and special thanks go to the North Shore Hospice for this relief.
Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service on Saturday, June 30, 2018, (1 pm) at St. James’ Anglican Church, 303 East Cordova, Vancouver, BC.
