It is with profound sadness that the family of Ursula Dadashzadeh announces her sudden and unexpected passing on April 22, 2026, at the age of 69.
Ursula was born in Leicester, England, and grew up in the small town of Markfield. Her life unfolded with the kind of quiet bravery that doesn't announce itself — she met whatever came her way with grace, and had an extraordinary gift for finding joy and light even in the hardest of moments. She carried herself through every chapter with courage, warmth, and an open heart.
She fell in love in Bedford, built a home in Wolverhampton, raised her family through a decade in Iran, and ultimately settled in Canada in 1997, where she put down roots and made yet another place her own.
She trained as a teacher and taught for several years before the arrival of her daughters, Rhogene and Leyla, after which she devoted herself entirely to her greatest calling — being their Mummy. And a Mummy she was, in the fullest, most beautiful sense of the word. She would tell you she loved you ten times a day, at least. She made you believe you were capable of anything. She made you feel, in your bones, that you were worthy of love. She didn't just say these things — she exuded them. To be in her presence was to feel held.
Known to her family as "Missy," she was the sunshine they returned to, again and again.
Ursula is survived by her devoted husband, Hamid — this August would have marked 45 years of marriage, and 47 years together. She is also survived by her two beloved daughters, Rhogene and Leyla, and by her dear siblings Harry, Jock, Carl, Rosie, Jim, and Francis.
Her love lives on in everyone she touched. Not gone — just gone ahead.
The family kindly requests no flowers. In lieu, they ask only that you take a moment to perform an act of kindness in her memory, or donate to a charity or cause close to your heart. It is exactly what she would have wanted.
