Don, born August 8, 1947, passed away at home on February 28, 2022. Don was predeceased by his wife, Patricia (Pat), and his parents, William (Bill) and Dorothy. He is survived by his son, David (Jeanne), his sister Tina (Bob) and brothers Gord (Liz), and Drew (Bill) and many nieces and nephews.
Don was born and raised in south Vancouver and received his early education there. Don worked for several years as a server with BC Ferries, his time on the Port Hardy to Prince Rupert route being especially memorable. He studied and became a CGA, and found a temporary position with the Federal Government at Western Economic Diversification. That temporary position turned into a 35 year lifelong career until his retirement in 2008. Much to his delight, his work with Western Diversification took him to many interesting and far-flung destinations in British Columbia and beyond.
Don and Pat lived in North Vancouver where, for many years, Don was very active in youth soccer and baseball and with 22nd Seymour Scouts. Throughout his life he remained an avid and passionate photographer.
He will be missed by family and friends.
