Dear Joan and family - my deepest sympathy.  Bill was a wonderful and fun loving man.  He was a dear friend of John.  He will be sadly missed.  The world has lost a special man.

The Chong family and acquaintances are deeply saddened to hear of Bill's passing. We are from his "Overlander family". As a long time employee, I can confirm that Bill was the most beloved and respected manager ever at Overlander! (Vancouver Fancy Meats). He left many great memories with the employees there. At the annual Xmas parties, Bill would always entertain us by singing with the band. Bill treated all the staff there as equal partners in the company, never treating any employee as a subordinate, but as an equal and valued "partner". That was his theme at the first ever meeting when Maple Leaf acquired Overlander. "Partners".  After he retired, we remained friends and continued our friendship through golfing. We had many memorable times at Seymour and Quilchena in Richmond. I am truly honored to have been called "friend" by 'Ole Bill'.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family; Bill was a great friend and mentor in my early Heinz years!

My deepest condolences to Joan, Rich and Bill and their families.  It was enjoyable spending time with Bill and Joan over the years.  Sad that Jack and Fred will miss yet another grandfather as they grow up.  Happy Bill had the chance to enjoy his two little grand daughters, Ella and Lori.  We will all miss him very much.  May he rest peace.

It is with great sadness that I pass on our deepest condolences to Joan and family. We have very fond memories of you all when living in Georgetown and golfing and curling at North Halton.

I am so sad to hear of Bill's passing. Bill and Joan have been dear family friends for years.  We will miss his regular phone calls to check on Lou and his friendship to all of us. I can only imagine the golf buddy reunion up there this week. Sincere condolences to the Sanford family. Hugs from Sandra and the Millikin family

I had the good luck of playing hockey for Bill in peewee and junior. It was an honour and he also always made it fun. He will be missed!
