Rita Fung

Passed away peacefully, at home, on Sunday, October 24, 2004, in her 95th year, after living a rich life. Beloved wife of the late Eugene Fung. She will be missed by all of her family. Loving mother of Arlene (Patrick), Michael (Phyl), Richard (Tim) and Robert Fung (Enid); grandmother of Kristine, Lisa and Susan Ngan, and Ian, Michelle, Robert Jr. (Diane) and Mark Fung (Linda); great-grandmother of Brooklyn, Logan, Brandon and Cory Fung; caring aunt, godmother, cousin, and friend to many. Family and friends will be welcomed on Tuesday, November 2nd from 7 - 9 pm at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, November 3rd at 9:30 am at St. Edward's Church, 75 Churchill Avenue, North York (west of Yonge, south of Finch). Interment will follow at York Cemetery, 101 Senlac Drive. Special thanks to Jesusa Ortiz-Luis, Jean and Lloyd Ryckman, Jean Newallo, Helene Cimesa, Dr. Richard Lee-Sing and Dr. Evan Ko, as well as the various services organized through the North York CCAC for their wonderful care in the last years of her life. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
