She was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama on February 3, 1927.
After receiving her business degree from Livingston College, she worked and retired from The United Way of West Alabama after 38 years. She was also a member of the Business Professional Women's Club and volunteered at Northport Medical Center for 15 years after retirement.
Ann was a member of Forest Lake Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school and worked with the girl's auxiliary program. Upon moving to Northport, she became an active member of Flatwoods Baptist Church.
She had a love for people and her home was always open. Being gifted in the kitchen, Ann loved to cook for friends and family. She always had a warm plate and warm seat for anyone who stopped by. Spending time with friends and family always made her smile. Ann loved to socialize and converse. She had a talent of never running out of things to talk about. On sunny days, if she wasn't in the kitchen, you could find her working in her beautiful and abundant flower gardens.
Ann was a loving wife of 67 years to her late husband, Paul McMillian. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were the joy of her life and they proudly called her ""Nana Mac"".
Her unconditional love was contagious. She touched many lives by being nothing more than herself. Because she loved, many loved in return.
We rejoice with her upon entering Heaven's gates, but will greatly miss her presence here on earth.
""Save us a seat Nana Mac, I'm sure we'll have lots to talk about.""
Pallbearers will be Wade Gilliam, Wayne Gilliam, Wallace Gilliam, Allen Brom, Justin Dunnam and Joshua Dunnam.
Honorary pallbearers are Flatwoods Baptist Church and community of Northport, Ala.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made in Ann McMillian's memory to Flatwoods Baptist Church of Northport, Ala.
