Barbara A Gilliam

She was preceded in death by her parents Perry and Varilla Braselton and her brother Bryce "Sonny" Braselton.

She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years James "JC" Gilliam; her son, Jeff Gilliam; granddaughters, Hannah Thornell (Allen), Raegan Free, and Jackson Gilliam; Great-grandson, Colton Thornell; and sister, Betty Skelton.

Barbara was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and friend who will missed by all.

Pallbearers will be David Reynolds, Donald Skelton, Wally Gilliam, Jimmy Rogers, Randy Cannon and David Hicks. Honorary pallbearers will be friends and family of the Samantha community, Samantha Volunteer Fire Department, JVC, and Amedisys Hospice Care.

Graveside services will be Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Haygood United Methodist Church Cemetery with Pastor Terry Oswalt officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
