Cynthia Clements

Cynthia Ann Hobson Clements, age 80, of Wetumpka, died Feb. 6, 2013. Memorial services will be 2 p.m. today at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Joel Gorveatte officiating and Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Paul C. Wright and Carl Clements; her son, Curtis Wright; her father and mother, William E. Hobson Jr. and Dophia Hobson; her brothers, Eber and Wallace Hobson; and her sisters, Virginia Herman, Stella Wallace, Mary Polzin, and Willie Ree Donilson.

Survivors include her daughters, Debra Wright Price (Joe) of Wetumpka, Denise Glenn, and Venita Brown (Tim) of Fosters; her sons, Gary L. Wright (Sarah) of Port Orange, Fla., William H. “Bill” Wright (Valerie), and Clarence H. “Bo” Clements; her sister, Julia Castle (Howard); seven granddaughters, Leigh Ann Parsons (Jon), Kelly Campbell (Troy), Amanda and Taylor Wright, Amy Drolet (Tom), Natalie Defnall (Chris), and Brandy Shaw (Jeremy); seven grandsons, Daniel, Jacob, and Blake Wright, Jason Glenn, Lee Price (Bridgette), Bill Price, and Joshua Brown; and 12 great-grandchildren, Cole and Cameron Campbell, Caroline and Anna Kate Parsons, Patton and Marylee Shaw, Brylee Brown, Cynthia Lee, Nellie Grace, Lauren, and Payton Drolet, and Mason Price.

Mrs. Clements was born August 28, 1932, in Tuscaloosa. She retired from DCH after 40 years. She was an active member of First Wesleyan Church in Tuscaloosa until she moved from Tuscaloosa in March 2012 to live with her daughter in Wetumpka. She joined Frazer United Methodist Church in Montgomery and the Couples in Christ Sunday School Class and made many new friends. She was a board member of DCH Credit Union.
