Jeanette was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 47 years, Leon Farley of Northport, Alabama; her parents, Kelly and Clara Owens of Bibb County; her brother, J.T. Owens (Sue) of Cottondale, Alabama; and her cherished niece, Brenda Owens of Northport, Alabama.
She is survived by her brother, Jamie Owens (Suzane) of Moundville, Alabama; her sister, May Bitman (Ronald) of Columbus, Mississippi; along with a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
Before her diagnosis of dementia, Jeanette and her husband Leon truly embraced life together. They loved travelling, dancing, and enjoying good food, spreading joy and laughter wherever they went. Jeanette's warm spirit and infectious smile will be deeply missed.
Funeral Arrangements will be handled by Sunset Funeral Home. A brief visitation will be held at 10 AM on Friday, February 27,2026, followed by a graveside service at 10:30 am, officiated by Larry Colburn of Northport, Alabama.
