Euline Gilliam Nuckols

Euline Gilliam Nuckols, age 89, of Northport, died January 15, 2018, at Benton House Woodstock. A Celebration of Life will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday January 20, 2018 at Sunset Funeral Home with Alicia Rhodes of Carrollton UMC officiating with Sunset Funeral Home a Dignity Memorial Provider directing the services. Burial will follow in Tuscaloosa Memorial Park. Visitation will be one hour prior to service from 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Nuckols; her parents Lucious and Trannie Gilliam; a brother Elzie Gilliam; and four sisters, Cora Haygood Bryant, Gertie Wells, Lyda Maddox, and Thelma Sellers.Survivors include her son, Jim Cooper (Lisa) of Roswell, GA; daughter, Rene Littrell (Kim) of Marietta, GA; sister, Wilma Townsend; brother, J.C. Gilliam; and grandsons Taylor and Jackson Littrell of Marietta, GA.

Euline enjoyed life with energy, honesty, and determination. She filled her home with the aroma of good food, the beauty of violets, and music to dance by. When she put her hand to a task, flower or fabric became a thing of perfect beauty. With strong work ethics and talent she built a drapery and plumbing business with the love of her life, Art.

Euliine will be greatly missed, forever remembered, and much loved!

Pallbearers will be Taylor Littrell, Jackson Littrell, Tony Newman, Wade Gilliam, Wally Gilliam, Wayne Gilliam, and John Wilson.

Honorary pallbearers are Sylvia Smith, Mary Sue Taylor, Rita and John Wilson, Steve and Dileana Owenby, Peggy Canavan, Beth Walters, Paula May, and the loving staff of Benton House Woodstock, Regency Hospice, and Brookdale Northport.
