James Hubbard

TUSCALOOSA - James A. Hubbard, age 69, of Tuscaloosa, Ala., passed away April 1, 2018 at his residence under the care of Amedisys Hospice Co. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, April 5, 2018, at Sunset Funeral Home, 3802 Watermelon Rd., Northport, Alabama. Visitation will be 12 noon - 1 p.m. and family and friends from 1 - 2 p.m. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Lasco and Dorothy Ann Hubbard; sister, Patricia Riley, and a niece and a nephew.

Survivors include his wife, Cynthia A. W. Hubbard; daughters, Cynthia Fendley and Jamie Steed; sons, Shane Hubbard and Charles Hubbard; sisters, Lynda White and Brenda Jones; nine grandchildren, Brittney Rhodes, Alexis Jefferies, Julieanna and Elizabeth Steed, Shelby Crawford, Lucas Hubbard, Chelsie, Caeson and Layton Hubbard; and three great-grandchildren.

He was a United States Navy Vietnam Veteran who loved his country. He was loved and respected by all that knew him.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Jones, Michael Jones, Chris "Ick" Riley, Dewayne Riley, Sam "Bubba" Pasco and Lee Averette.

Honorary pallbearers are Shane and Charles Hubbard, Cahaba Resources, with a special thanks to the long-time friends of the Crawford family.
