BERRY | John C. "J.C." Cannon, age 87, of Berry, Ala., died November 7, 2015, at Baptist South. Service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 11, 2015, at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jerry Montgomery officiating. Burial will follow in Boone Cemetery with Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Ike B. Cannon and Mary Alice Cannon; brothers, David, Ted and Lacy Cannon; and several nieces and nephews.
Survivors include his daughters, Jacquelin Wilkins (Billy), Janet Brock (Gary) and Diane Watkins (James); son, Danny Cannon (Mary); sisters, Kate Cannon, Carolyn Cannon and Mary Jean Cannon; brother, Jerry Cannon; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
J.C. was a loving son, father and grandfather. He loved his family, horses and dogs.
The family would like to give a special thanks to all of the caretakers at Charlton Place Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center.
Pallbearers will be Chuck Cannon, Todd Cannon, Bert Barnette, Billy Wilkins, Jr., Nick Wilkins and Neal Cannon.
