She was born on November 14, 1949, to James Leon Clifton Booth and Faye Turner Booth of Buhl, AL. She was an active member of Cornelius Chapel Baptist Church where she donated her time managing the cemetery fund. Linda graduated from Tuscaloosa County High School, Class of 1968. She then attended Shelton State Community College and later in life attended the University of Alabama. She began her administrative career at Gulf States Paper Company and ended it with retirement from Randall Reilly.
She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, Cub Scout den mother, PTA president, 4-H sponsor, church pianist, last-minute school project problem-solver, seamstress, bake-a-cake-from-scratch cook, master of blackberry cobbler, Tupperware party host, Elvis official fan club member, and genealogy researching-extraordinaire. Known to her grandchildren as Mam’ Mam and to many others as Momma Mason, she impacted countless lives in her time here on earth. Linda lived her life the best she knew and left this earth wishing that her grandchildren would find before them a long, meaningful, and happy life in a safe world. She wanted them to know her Lord and Savior.
While our hearts mourn, we take comfort in knowing that she is no longer suffering.
She was preceded in death by her father, Leon Clifton Booth, and grandparents, James F. and Gertrude Dorough Turner, and Palmer C. and Rosie Holley Booth.
She is survived by her husband, Ronnie Mason; children, Ron Mason, Lynn Mason (Derek) Osborn, and Pam Mason (Mark) Guin; mother, Faye Turner Booth; and siblings, Jimmy Booth, David Booth, and Bill Booth. Most importantly, she is survived by her grandchildren, Savannah and Anica Osborn, and Natalie and Emily Guin. They were the light of her life and truly brought her a feeling of joy and accomplishment.
Graveside services will be held at Cornelius Chapel Cemetery on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at 10:00 AM in Buhl, AL. Officiating will be Reverend Gary Bonner, a friend and long-time neighbor.
