Melissa Wiggins

Melissa Dean Wiggins, age 68 of Coker, AL, passed away on January 3, 2026, at DCH Regional Medical Center. A Celebration of Life will be held at Northport Church of Christ on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at 1:00 pm with a private burial to follow.

Melissa was preceded in death by her mother, Carolyn Jackson. Melissa is survived by her father, Donald Jackson; husband of 47 years, Dale Wiggins; children, Michael Wiggins, Josh (Kathy) Wiggins, Brook (Kevin) Peak; siblings Patti (Larry) Bradberry, Jared (Tammy) Jackson, and Scott (Pam) Stricklin; special “sister” Brenda Baxter; grandchildren, Savanna, Katelyn, Rylee, Blake and Taner, along with many nieces and nephews.

Melissa was born on July 11, 1957, in Jasper, AL and resided most of her life in Coker, AL. Melissa was a devoted wife, mother and nana. Melissa found joy in life’s simple pleasures, especially being outside working with her plants and flowers. Melissa loved the Lord and truly had a servant’s heart, often putting others’ needs before her own. Melissa touched many lives and leaves behind a legacy of love. The family finds peace and comfort in knowing that she is with our Lord and Savior in Heaven.
